Eastern Referendum
The Cinnead chiefs vote for the kin of their Royal line to become Eastking or Eastqueen. If a plurality cannot be gathered by the votes of the chiefs then an Eatern Moot is held to decide a new ruler. The referendum only takes place if their is no direct heir, once a leader dies, a year of mourning begins. In that time the chiefs put forward the viable name with proven lineage to be voted on. If none can gather the half amount needed by the year of mourning r date, then a Champion’s Feast is held at the Hedgespire before a location uis chosen for the moot. The castles of old Ivoria usually upkeep their tourney grounds for personal events so many are ready if the Moot is selected to be hosted in their city.
