Deep Quiet

Encircling Wakerest is the Deep Quiet, a shimmering barrier of magic silk that separates the dreamscape from the lost strands of the Weave. Anchored by four statues of Twilight, these barriers protect the village from the creeping threats of the Weave’s darker recesses. The shimmering field flickers occasionally.
Within the Deep Quiet, life is harmonious but watchful. Creatures known as Reveries, raven-like pests with an insatiable hunger for the silk threads, gnaw at the barrier’s edges. Their disturbances can pull mortals from their slumber, breaking the connection between the Weave and the waking world.
This technology is used in many of the communes dotted around the Weave. The great city of Dawnlight has an incredibly large Deep Quiet protecting it.
