Ancient Languages of Galfin

Giantspeak Some of the tall races still speak Giantspeak but due to them trying to integrate into modern societies a little more most have lost their ancestral language. Some of the eldest giants in each region may still have some the dialect in their repertoire.
Zoan It is rumored that the origins of man as a race could stem from the cold north province of Snowpeak. There are cave drawings of ancient humans, elves and dwarves living together painted on the old walls of the worlds most ancient fortress, the Berg Verki. These scrawlings have an ancient language scribed underneath that some of the arctic races can still read. To this publications knowledge, no one can speak Zoan anymore. Even the natives of the city of Zoa only know of their own language through their ancient tomb of scrolls.
Lumin This is the language of the ancient elves who were worshipped as gods by early man. Their race was killed when a human first acted vengeful towards these glowing ivory elves. That first Lumis elf who died became the first Onyx elf and was reborn the opposite of what he was in life. The Onyx elf continued to kill his brethren until his entire race was reborn without their inner lights. This led to 1000 years of slavery that historically frames the entire 3rd Era. Both elves and man were enslaved by the powerful Onyx elves but when man revolted with the aid of Dhara in the Great Rebellion, the lesser elf races were held at the same disdain as their grey skinned overlords.
Synapsi Before the Liberation of Man, a cosmic balance shift occurred. During times when the freedom of the people is at an absolute low, when their lives are stripped away and controlled, the god Synapsid awakens his ancient beasts from their slumber. He speaks out to the dragons who are chaos bringers to move the balance back towards a central point of order and chaos. Unfortunately his beasts usually tip the balance too much, causing much destruction. The half dragon half lion god knew that some power hungry being will balance the scales back towards order. Near the end of the 3rd Era, dragon attacks were causing the tyrant Onyx elves to become enraged as the dragons targeted slave centres to let some freedom back into the world. The dragons that died released energy into the air, this essence from Synapsid gave birth to the first Dragonborn. The slaves who worshiped the dragons and saw them for the agents of chaos they were meant to be were transformed in the larger, scaled dragonkin. The language faded away as the dragons were no longer needed to bring back chaos. They went back to rest once the Onyx Elves were slaughtered and Man claimed the world at the beginning of the 4th Era.
Oakenspoke Oakanspoke is a speak spoken by the Oakenfolk. The folk made of oak are sometimes referred to as treants in the common tongue. They tend to speak in circles and accidentally make most common sayings a riddle. The oakenfolk find that the more vague you are then the more problems you can solve with one answer. In example, "The way forward is the path of life to death" could be advice about moving on passed any obstacle or it could be directions from the town of Lyfe to the village of Deth.
