A Traveller's Guide to Dun Maroch
written by Oisin, Bastard of Iridyll before the 5th era Weaving the past and future, Dun Maroch dazzles with it’s traditions and attunement with scripture. Known as politicians within the continent of Malum, they host the largest school known within the Western Realms, The Celestial Magisterium. They claim sovereign ownership over The Weave, which is to say, they believe they own the magick from the ground, seas and sky. It seemingly mirrors a lot that we know of our own Vul’Adnian Magistrate here on Galfin, they boast control of wild magicks and are militant in their approach to their search of Knowledge. While all of this lends itself to a society built on the back of fear and control, it somehow has let their people revel in the freedom Magick provides, they have beautiful stone carved architecture, as if lifted from the ground itself. Colours dance amongst the stars crafting what seems like new horizons in the sky with cascading images of cities and other realms dancing lightly when the sun set.
It is a sight to behold! If you ever find yourself in Dun Maroch, tread lightly with your words, for you never know when The Third Eye watches you. And of course, make sure to try the Planar Steak! It’s out of this world!
