Witch's tongue

The witch's tongue is a plant found in Galedon. It is a powerful healing plant with antiseptic and painkilling properties, but also is used as an antidote to certain poisons. It is rare, and only found in most magical forests.   The whole plant has magical properties. The flowers can be infused into a calming tea, that will clear one's mind and ease headaches and stress. The leaves, when crushed and made into a paste, can be used to treat infected wounds. The leaves, if infused in water, will be a powerful antidote to poison from Grávik's deadly poisoned blades. The stalk and the roots can be chopped and if cooked thoroughly in salted water, they are safe to eat, but if boiled only for a short time and then mushed, they will do good for sores and burns. A paste made from the roots can also be used as a local anesthetic. The seeds are not usually used, but if harvested in the light of the fullmoon, they will have a psychedelic effect. If harvested in the sunlight however, the seeds will have a similar effect to the flowers, only much more potent. Seeds harvested in the dark may have unpredictable effects, and it is not advised to use them.   The witch's tongue is a small plant, with pale pink flowers. Each flower has five petals, and is shaped like a bell. The flowers are arranged in clusters. The entire plant is maybe 10-15 cm tall, it grows by the roots of tall trees. The stalk is straight, and the leaves are long and thin, almost grass-like and they come in pairs. The roots are thick like those of a dandelion.   The witch's tongue's value is in it's antidote qualities, for painkilling and anesthetic purposes more common and more easily obtained plants are used. Witch's tongue cannot be grown in gardens, unless the garden had powerful magical soil, it will not thrive.

Interesting twist on the properties of the seeds based on when they are harvested.
