Rourke Norva Alessia (a.k.a. "Doc")
A clouded leopard from a forested region in Cordinhal, Rourke is the team medic for "The Rangers." He's also an accomplished climber, and the other half of the sniper team with Irving.
Physical Description
Generally fit, excellent at rock and tree climbing, lithe
Typically found wearing a lab coat and stethoscope in civilian environments, but in the field, he's often wearing a BDU with the rest of the rangers, with camo depending on the environment the rangers end up in.
As the team's medic, Rourke carries an advanced first aid kit in his backpack, as well as a Compact XM8 and Px4 Storm sidearm. He carries binoculars as well to assist Irving with spotting targets during sniper assignments
Mental characteristics
A former resident of Cordinhal, Rourke spent much of his life in his family's apothecary, helping treat the ills of the town's population. The importance of medicine was imbued in him at a very young age, particularly as the lacking public health infrastructure of Cordinhal was the reason behind several communicable disease outbreaks. Rourke also hunted on days off, and as a result has better aim with a bow, or rifle, than most others with the exception of Irving.
Rourke found a way out at age 16, applying to Castolia Range University as a foreign student. After helping save the life of a local lord, he found himself a student there with a full ride scholarship being paid by the liege of his county. Starting college two years early, he showed an aptitude for medicine, easily passing his pre-med courseload before ending up in the emergency medicine department as an intern. Soon, he became a resident physician while considering studying to be an attending physician. Unfortunately, the Panthalassan-Remian war interrupted those plans.
Caught up in the invasion of Port Rastin while on vacation, he joined up with The Rangers as the team's medic while the group huddled in a basement while the battle raged outside. His current location, with the rest of the Rangers, is a mystery.

Rourke is the only member of his family to attend an out-of-country university, and often sends money back to his family in Cordinhal.
Rourke is a hard-ass when it comes to his profession, often a detriment when certain cases unavoidably end in the death of a patient. He takes failure personally, which him and Sarkre both have in common.
An ER physician, Rourke is used to trauma of all sorts, and has developed a 'thicker skin' to it than most others his age. His biggest pressure relief is discussing things with Irving, his former roommate and closest friend. He's also the team's psych, often lending an ear to the others following stressful operations.
Logical, Methodical, prone to following checklists compulsively
Despite being a doctor, Rourke is not averse to self defense. Some personal reserves about violence make it difficult for him to be an effective warrior, but his immense hatred of the Remian state following the invasion of Port Rastin has sidelined that for the time being.

Social
Formerly an apothecary apprentice in Oakwood, he's developed intimate connections within the town's political and social spheres, as well as with the royalty responsible for ruling it. It's thanks to them that he was able to attend college with a full ride.
