Parveui (par-v-ee)

A Parveui is someone who works with or alongside the Wylders Rift to make sure that Bands are getting gigs. Parveui can be seen at Wylders Rift locations handing out gigs and supplies or they can be seen traveling with individual bands acting as their bard, spokesperson and negotiator. Some Parveui have collected so many bands that they don't travel as much but simply negotiate offer jobs and make sure the bands have the supplies they need.

Qualifications

When bands are looking for a Parveui they look for these Qualities; Stubborn, Charismatic, can speak wright and read common, a talent for maths and haggling, and an adventurous spirit.

Career Progression

Parveui begin working at a Wylders Rift location as a Stationed Parveui. They act as a secretary for the guild filtering out gigs and assigning them to different bands. As they gain popularity they can advance to the position of Parveui Traveler. In this position they travel with a selected band acting as their own personal Parveui and Bard. They go to the gigs with the bands and wright down what happens so they can help the band gain renown, book gigs, and haggle over prices for the band. When a Parveui gains more than 2 bands that they tend to the advance to the rank of Parveui Collector. Once they reach this rank many Parveui stop travelling with the bands and settle in one central location. They still travel and assist bands as necessary but the often send out supplies and money from their home base.

Payment & Reimbursement

When Parveuis start at the Wylders Rift they are paid by gigs accepted. When a band accepts a gig from the wylders Rift they pay a small finders fee which goes to the Parveui who found and assigned the gig and to the Wylders Rift as a whole. When a Parveui is chosen by a band and begins to travel with them they take an equal share of the parties rewards as agreed upon by the party. A Parveuis who has more than one band that they look after, often ask for anywhere between 20-50% of the take of each band depending on the popularity of the band.

Other Benefits

When a Parveui is just starting out they have very few benefits. The same goes for Parveui who have attained Travelers rank. Parveui Collectors on the other hand gain the benefits of a rich and lavish life style. Depending on how popular they are they are often invited to attend high society parties and dinners.

Perception

Purpose

The purpose of the Parveui is to help guide the wave of up and coming Mercenary bands across the world. With so many bands vying for the same jobs, Parveui help to keep things a little more tidy, organized and usually civil. They do this by finding gigs, contacting clients and arranging pay for the band.

Social Status

The position of Parveui is often sought after and coveted as it is a harder position to get into. Those who do become Parveui are seen to be living a life of fame talent and luxury, despite the hazards of the job.

History

Originally the position was made to help the Wylders Rift as a whole. The Guild Master was the one finding gigs and choosing which bands the gigs went too. As the guild grew and expanded across the world the leader realized they couldn't handle each case personally so they created the roll of Parveui. The Parveui had initially stayed at Wylders Rift locations and acted as secretaries. Some bands found that they traveled outside the range of these guild halls more often than not, and requested to take the more adventurous Parveui with them. This act created the three levels of Parveui we see today.

Parveui are given a scale, abicus and a log book upon leaving the Wylders Rift though many bookers also carry various instruments or weapons as well.

Workplace

Parveuis who are just starting out tend to work at one of the Wylders Rifts holds across Galara but as they gain popularity and requests they take on the roll of Parveui Travelers which allows them to travel anywhere in Galara. Bands and their Parveui have been known to travel to the frozen tundras to the deserts andrain forests. Some even brave the Feral Wyld. Once a Parveui has gained more than a couple of Bands they transition into the roll of Parveui Collector and travel only when they need to assist a band or recruit a new band member.

Dangers & Hazards

Parveuis face many dangers when they leave the Wylders Rift. Traveling with bands can get them killed in a number of creative ways. Not to mention the emotional and mental trauma of watching a band make die or hearing the horrible ways another Parveui had passed.

This possition in legal in most countrys though there are a few that are currently fighting to abolish the roll of both Mercenarie and Parveui to keep inexperienced people safe and allow the military to step in and control the monster population.
