Soul Anchor

A soul anchor is an object used by a deity as a source or anchor for their power. All the deities of Galactus are thought to have these, and it is said that to control a deity's soul anchor is to control the deity themselves. Were a soul anchor to be destroyed or banished to another plane or even into the void against the deity's will, the deity would suffer the same fate. Because of this glaring weakness, the deities of Galactus jealously guard their anchors, keeping the object's identity secret as well as its location. There are many theories about how the deities hide these anchors. Some are thought to keep the anchor in their possession at all times to keep watch over it, while others may have theirs hidden deep in the wilds of the world, or even in the hands of their most loyal and trusted followers.
