Emerald River

Stretching from the Araumorndin to both Krelp and Druk Bay, the Emerald River divides the continent of Judera in two, serving as a border for Streyburg, North Skolia, and South Skolia

Mountainous Origins

The Emerald River emerges from a spring in the Araumorndin, just east of Westport. It flows into a large pool hidden somewhere among the peaks, and then falls down to the clay hills and along the Eastern Plains. Its spring is said to be a place rich with natural magic, a veritable magnet for magical creatures such as fey. Many seek the river's source to collect water, believing it to be infused with magic.

The Emerald Dragon

As the Emerald River travels along Judera, it deepens and becomes wider. It forks as it passes Westport, the smaller branch running through the heart of the city and into the Quartz Inlet. In the wider branch, beside the Red Hart Forest, a river dragon makes its home. Known as the Emerald Dragon, it protects a long stretch of river from Westport to Silvercross. It is not seen very often, but stories tell of its gargantuan size and strength. Qualities unusual for a river dragon, some speculate it may be a half-breed with another type of dragon, possibly a green or lion dragon.
