History
Founding
In the years following Unification,
Kryian built and settled what would later evolve into the
Estate of the Empress. Over time, others constructed buildings nearby in order to be close to what was considered to be the centre of government. As the settlement developed and expanded, Esian became the de facto capital of the Siathan Court.

Administration
As Esian is home to the vast majority of the core Divisions that make up the Siathan Court government, there are several different levels of administration operating within the city, making it seem more complicated to those who are used to the administration of other cities.

While planetary administration was once the highest level of government in the Court, the
Solar Expansion Age brought about settlements on bodies other than Khalnar. While these settlements were originally self-governed, as they grew they needed their own administrative oversight, requiring that the
Local Administration Division division be formed, with the Khalnar Governance Bureau being placed under its umbrella.
