Gorgon

Being a gorgon is a magical curse placed upon a humanoid creature, the people cursed lose their mind and turn things to stone by eyesight they also gain green skin and hair made of snakes.   The Gorgons curse requires specific conditions in the creature it is placed upon, the emotions within the creature partially feed onto the curse and if they are not there then the curse will not progress and eventually dissipate. The curse once placed progresses by using the ambient energy of extreme negative emotions, things like anger, sorrow, greed etc. The Gorgon wich will slowly also become agressive will retain the negatvie traits that feed on the curse when they slowly start to lose their mind.   It is not impossible to free a person from a curse even after it is fully complete it is however incredibly difficult and requires a mix of magic and invoking the memories of the person the gorgon once was.   How to place a gorgons curse on somebody is a powerfull magical secret many powerfull individuals that do know it closely keep to themselves and few mortals know of how to do so.

Causes

The curse is placed upon a creature by another individual.

Symptoms

The symptoms wich gradually all become worse are, gaining snake eye, skin becoming a grey/green color and a person's hair slowly growing and bunshing together into snake bodies and eventually grow snake heads. During this the person slowly loses their mind and becomes more and more agressive. The signature ability to turn people to stone only develops once the curse is fulfilled.

Treatment

Treatment from the outside is near impossible, the curse is complicated and hard to dispell without powerfull magical components. The one cure that is guaranteed to work is for the afflicted to get the emotions the curse feeds on under control so that the curse may not feed on the ambient Life energy of the emotions.
