A New Kingdom Rises

With the influx of liberated slaves from the Ithorylion colonies, the scattered human, orc and halfling settlements of the western Dales go through a rapid upswing in growth and prosperity. While historic rivalries and antagonisms have hampered efforts at unification, the politically astute Edmin Hadradsson is able to forge the rival factions into a single nation; the budding kingdom of Langharad.

In the western regions of the Massarlor Dales, the farming villages and budding townships grow and expand, bolstered by the numbers of freed Ithorylion slaves. These settlements grow into earldoms, gradually expanding their domains and influence throughout the Dales, including encroaching more and more into the roving grounds of the centaurs and minotaurs.   Tensions and rivalries among the Daleans simmer constantly, and conflict between the various factions grows increasingly frequent, exacerbated particularly by the bellicose and aggressive Pyrachoskoppi. Eventually, a renowned warrior and wily politician called Edmin Hadradsson is able to unify the western Dales into a single kingdom, Langharad. Hadradsson’s dynasty would last for almost 400 years, in name if not entirely by blood.
