This spell functions similarly to Counterspell, except you must make a Caster Level check, regardless of spell level.

• If you fail to beat the DC by 10 or more, you fail to have any affect on the spell.
• If you fail to beat the DC by 9 or less, you counter the spell as normal.
• On a successful check, you gain control of the affected spell and may redirect it towards any target or area of your choosing, within the spell's Range.
