Saving Throw: Strength/Dexterity - Negate, see text   All creatures close to the affected area must adhere to the following effects each Round.   Within 60ft of the affected area:
At the start of their Turn, a creature must make a Strength or Dexterity saving throw, or an Athletics check to Swim with the same DC.
  • If the creature fails, they are immediately drawn into the spell's effect, and take 3d8 Bludgeoning damage.
  • If the creature succeeds, they are unaffected by the current.
If a creature fails to escape the area, they may be dragged back inside on their next Turn.   Similarly, the captain of a ship in the area must make the same save, or check.   Within the affected area:
At the start of their Turn, a creature takes 3d8 Bludgeoning damage.
This lasts for 2d4 Rounds, during which the creature has a Speed of 0 and must make Concentration checks accordingly.
Once the creature has taken damage for the last time, they are ejected to any adjacent square of the spell's effect, chosen by the caster as follows:
  • Large or smaller creatures are ejected at the bottom.
  • Huge or larger creatures are ejected at the surface.
If a creature fails to escape the area, they may be dragged back inside on their next Turn.   If the spell ends while creatures are trapped inside, they are immediately ejected as described above.   This spell can only be cast in a body of water large enough to fit the spell's effect.   Material Component: Radiant Flowing Vaaryte with a value of 500g
