The Morrigan Character in Gaia | World Anvil

The Morrigan

Chooser of the Slain, Chooser, Raven Queen, The Raven, Mother Darkness,

“I shall watch you hidden in the shadows. I shall challenge you for your understanding of self, And when the time is right I shall take you with me”
~From Whispers of The Raven~

She is the darkness, the first of Danu's creations, created alone resting in the stillness of her creator. More false rumors and untrue myths exist of The Morrigan than any other of the Tuatha De Danna and she would have it no other way. What is known to be most true of The Raven is that she is willing to do most anything to keep the life, death and undeath cycle moving. Her unique view on spirits and the undead puts her at odds with Manannan Mac Lir, the two of them are the only Tuatha De Danna that truly despise each other.

“Raven black as night, eyes blood red, I beg of ye to answer this call. Choose me foes, ensure they fall. In your name The Cycle will be moved, Chooser Of The Slain, The Morrigan, evermore. “
-Prayer of Unnta Evergrove
