A mysterious figure, Duchess Carlyn Ó Mocháini rules over the city of Lockeston and its surrounding region with a keen mind and an iron fist. The leader of a sisterhood consisting of Chaplain Siofra Macanguss, Commander of the Town Guard Mordag Ellise, Court Wizard Bronach Glens, and spymaster Aithne Whaleni, Carlyn came to power shortly after the Blood Moon Massacre in 1269. Given rule of Lockeston, a prominent trade city, her laws appear to benefit the populous with increased trade, higher food and housing quality, and other such programs. However, under her rule, people mysteriously disappear never to be seen again and many of the people of Lockeston can't recall the difference between life and dream with nightmares so familiar, yet so foggy.
