BOOK 2 - Prospertine: Equinox
Prydar appears in "Mutual Accord." He expresses sympathy toward Prospertine and Narcis during their visit to Midianar, and welcomes them into his home. He seeks a peaceful resolution to the conflict between Midianar and Argosy.

Eventually, he offers himself up as a hostage to Argosy as a means of securing that peace.

At the end of "Equinox," Prospertine learns that this peace treaty resulted in treachery and the mass murder of the Midianari. She is given strong reason to believe Prydar was murdered by the Argosite army.
