Generated Logic
A Telecomputer programming technology designed to automate the writing of programming code, Generated Logic has many other names: GL, GenLo, Log, Dead Logic, DedLo, Ether Rot, and perhaps most commonly, Ether Zombies.
Generated Logic was often found to work well when contained to a single Telecomputer, but once introduced to the Ether, different proprietary models were found to reproduce indefinitely, clogging memory space and rendering many devices inoperable. This 'poison' quickly spread to the Ether itself: navigating the Subwaves and Superwaves, already a risky practice, became a guarantee of mental death.
Today, GL is largely forgotten, the Ether itself understood solely as a dangerous wasteland containing outdated proprietary information, where those foolish enough to swim its waves risk their own sanity in exchange for lost (or blackmail-worthy) information.
