E35 Erso Arsenal Exo-Armor

Colloquially called robots, mech-armor, or boot-suits, Erso Arsenal Exo-Armors are single-unit military vehicles about twice the size and height of a human being, "worn" by a single Isnas soldier to enhance his fighting capabilities. Much myth and rumor surrounds these units, especially the claim that they are fueled by "the animus," meaning "male energy" or simply testosterone. While an Erso can easily overwhelm a dozen soldiers, a single Erso cannot stand up against most other military vehicles. Hence, Ersos are typically unleashed in "swarms" of a few dozens to destroy or dismantle heavy munitions.
Named for the Kinseti term for "ant," Ersos were invented toward the end of the Sunrise Offensive, though they saw very little action during that conflict. Since then, they have been used exclusively against Kinsetarian citizens, putting down rebellions and coups of varying size and severity.
