Asthma

A collection of breathing disorders that affect respiration to varying degrees, asthma is alleged to be found principally in the City of Light and especially Coal Island, though this appears to be largely rumor - very few studies have been made regarding the prevalance of asthma throughout the continent.
As the above suggests, it is widely assumed that asthma can be caused, at least in part, by environmental factors. Legally, however (at least in Vesper), it is categorized exclusively as a genetic disorder, meaning it is not covered by most forms of insurance.
