Gaelaria

Created by

Gaelaria is a massive fantasy world, full of diverse regions and even more diverse people. So much so that a single paragraph couldn't fully encapsulate the various cultures and their histories. The best way to learn about the world of Gaelaria, is by taking it in one story at a time. These stories range from dark chapters of our history where wickedness and injustice prevailed, to grand tales of heroism, where people came together to defeat evil, and even to the smallest tales of simple personal triumph. All of these tales are what shape our world's greater narrative, and thus are all of equal importance.
These tales are recorded by The Chroniclers - the brave and daring citizens who dedicate their entire lives to the craft. It requires them to travel far and wide to pursue these tales, and conduct thorough research into these stories, so that they can write the most accurate accounts possible. Their accounts are then transcribed into huge compilations that we call "The Chronicles".

Plans & Intended Direction for Gaelaria

I have huge plans for the world of Gaelaria. My goal is to build it into a world that's similar in vastness and diversity as the Dragon Age or Elder Scrolls universes. At the same time, I also want my content to be able to fit in with the official D&D content - pretty much like a pick and choose system.   I want to turn this into a wiki of sorts where other DMs and players can access all of my work on Gaelaria, so that they have the information needed to create and run their own campaigns within this setting, if they so choose. I intend to keep the standalone articles freely accessible for everyone, but I would like to get to a level in my writing skills where I can publish paid adventure modules, as I would love to someday make a living from my creative outlets.   I've started working on heaps of article entries already, and I've even completed a few of them, which I am in the process of proofreading. Once I'm confident in the finished work, I'll start organising and publishing them, so that they are publicly available and easy to access.   The range of content will start off small, of course, but I'm constantly working on posts, so be sure to check in regularly.   Thank you very much for checking out my work, and I hope you enjoy! Feel free to ask questions and leave constructive criticism. I'm always aiming to improve my writing and storytelling skills, and your input will be greatly appreciated.

About The Author

My name's Jasper and I'm a 23 year old Aussie. Straight up, I'm an aspiring artist who struggles with ADHD and Bipolar, who uses creative hobbies as an outlet to cope in a healthy way. I aim to inspire other people who might struggle with the same types of issues, and really just try to make someone's day a little better.   I've been writing my entire life, but have only recently dived head first into the vast world of D&D. I have no concept of taking it slow, so of course I decided to jump straight into DMing, which has certainly had it's ups and downs, but I've been loving it overall. I've been co-DMing with my amazing co-DM, Caitlin, and we've managed to run some great sessions for the organisation we volunteer for.   It's been a great experience being able to run these weekly sessions for the kids in our local community, especially during these difficult times during the pandemic.   I hope to share my work with the world, in hopes that others can also get enjoyment out of it, and have some fun, even when everything looks bleak and everything feels out of control.
