Zalanya

Zalanya is a continent located in the southeast of the world of Fyrra. It has a diverse climate ranging from the wet and cold weather to oppressive heat. The continent is the home of several nations, including Solanya, Laur and Eborya, which are considered its central powers. Even though most of Zalanyan history since the start of the Revisioned Calender consists of many long and bloody conflicts, the continent has recently entered an age of careful peace.

Notable locations

The Blackheads: A large area in the east of Zalanya that is characterized by its numerous black hills.
The Bloodmounts: The Bloodmounts are a mountain range of red-brownish mountains in the north of Zalanya.
The Centersea: A large inland body of water located in, as suggested by its name, the center of Zalanya.
The Chasm: A large chasm that constitutes the northern border of Zalanya with Fhyrir. It is the result of a great volcanic eruption, that had split the land open and upwards. The ground of the Chasm is only a few metri above sea level and consists of dried lava.
The Copper Peaks: The Copper Peaks are a large mountain area ton the west of the Centersea. Named due to the prominent hue of its tops, these mountains actually do not contain any of the metal they are named after.
The Drought: A large and extremely dry and stony area located in the southeast of the continent.
The Needles: A large area of stalagmites located in the south of the Copper Peaks.
Viren’s Sea: A sea in the northern part of Zalanya. It is named after Viren, a monster native to north Zalanya
