Kastia, Goddess of War and Justice

Kastia, Goddess of War and Justice is a currently sleeping Goddess. She was the Goddess that founded the Republic of Kastia. The desire that led to her ascension is her conviction of wanting to create a world where all people are born equal in political rights and where there is no slavery.   This entry depicts her life as a God, after ascending and leaving her humanity behind.

Kastia's military approach

Kastia, now a Goddess, knew how powerful the Kingdom of Eandal and its King, God Bolar was. Kastia also knew that she needed to gain the power of the people to overthrow the Kingdom. But she also realized how discontent the people were with his continuously more aggressive approach to the war, which led to many provinces forcing conscription on those that couldn't pay enough military duties. And Kastia knew discontent brings disloyalty. On the 73rd day of Air 1100, Kastia decided to use her accumulated power to turn on Eandal. This date is later seen as the foundation of The Republic of Kastia.   Her army was fiercely loyal to her and she knew many people followed her Movement of Kastia. Instead of continuing to conquer the Free world on the southern front, she turned with her army towards the Eandalian provinces. She offered the people freedom and equal rights if they would join her cause. In Talia, her late husband’s province, Goddess Kastia declared independence of her Republic of Kastia. It became the base for her conquest of Eandal. Kastia’s army became the Military for her Republic of Kastia and would continue their military approach towards the Kingdom Eandal.   Due to the unrest in Eandal, the attractiveness of her proposed regime and the imminent threat of her military, many provinces, joined her immediately or followed soon. The people would either kill and overthrow their local aristocracy or the aristocratic leaders would join Kastia out of fear for their life and sometimes even out of faith in her Movement.   The Goddess realized that the new Republic would need to find a way to govern it, but she also realized that she needed the determination of the people in this very moment to make her Republic as large as possible. So instead of trying to build a functioning regime, Kastia focused too much on conquering the Kingdom of Eandal. The Free World could wait, they were the smaller threat. Kastia would often join on the battlefield and bestow part of her great magic power on her soldiers, while fighting herself to accumulate even more new magic. She was seen as the Goddess of War and Justice.

The Battle of God's Crater

Bolar God of Domination was not happy with that. After Kastia had conquered an entire realm in Eandal, he decided to join the fight himself. Bolar had, in his desire for power, accumulated a great amount of magic by killing many powerful people and demigods in Eandal, including many aristocrats who held great power and by depleting the magic reserve of Eandal. Bolar then challenged Kastia, to a direct duel. Kastia knew that a reaction on her part would be necessary. So she asked the people of her Republic to give them their magic power to be able to face the confrontation with Bolar. Most did. While Bolar took what the aristocracy had taken from the people, Kastia received it from the people themselves.   After a long and hard battle of almost a cycle, Kastia had won the Battle of God’s Crater. Before she could kill the God of Domination and take his accumulated power however, Bolar decided to return to the eternal cycle resulting in the loss of his magic power.   Kastia herself was horribly weakened and realized she would have to go into a long sleep soon. To make sure her accumulated elemental power would not be lost for hundreds of cycles, she bestowed it on the people that had lend her power to fight Bolar. Both the power she had received from them and almost all power she accumulated during her active reign. Kastia wanted to make sure the conquest could continue and that the Republic would be strong enough to withstand opposition from the Kingdom as long as it needed to establish a functioning ruling regime based on her principles of Kastia.   Kastia then went into a very long sleep to regain the strength of her Will. Even after almost nine hundred cycles she hasn’t woken up yet. Even if she would, she had lost most of her powers by giving it to her people. And those people died and lost the power due to not having a functioning system of power collection yet. But there is no doubt she would regain elemental powers from the current loyal population of the Republic and reignite the Republic's strength.   Until then, the Republic of Kastia is patiently awaiting her awakening.
