The Editors

The Editors are a far-left organisation that after infiltrating the Social Sciences with their ideology, they targeted the physical sciences. Their aim was to insert communism into the physical sciences by dividing the practitioners of the physical sciences and getting them to turn on each other.
Since they had already infiltrated the media when they infiltrated the social sciences, The Editors didn’t find it hard to influence the publishers of the textbooks to make the changes. Their intentions were not to kill people but their views were that sacrifices had to be made, and human life was irrelevant.
Examples of the change are;

• That two chemicals mixed together were safe when they weren’t
• That a scientist didn’t need a fume extraction hood when in fact, they did to take out the fumes of the reaction.
• Famously, if you mixed Aluminium with Gallium or Aluminum with Mercury, nothing would happen.

Ramifications And Aftermath

This of course led to a loss in life and as expected the scientific community separated into factions. One of them was against the editing of the textbooks and decided to test the textbooks for accuracy.
When these were found to be incorrect and tested them to be such they then tried to have the textbooks updated. This is where The Editors can in. Since they had influence in the media they chastised the publisher if they updated the textbooks and often won these small skirmishes.
This ultimately failed and The Great Rewind occurred involuntarily to the majority. The technology was rewound to the 1860s to 1880s. So that the opposing faction could know for sure what they knew to be correct. This was the plan of The Editors, all along to rewind technology back to get a society to turn on themselves, however, this did not happen.
