Chief Engineer of Division 4 Abigail Lucy Harlow (a.k.a. Abby)
There are few people as intelligent and imposing as Abigail Lucy Harlow. The Half-Orc artificer has made a name for herself both locally as a borderline prodigy in robotics and tinkering and across the Union as an important helper to Hulda Lethingo of Armadillo Volantes. With a combination of both incredible brains and immense brawn, Abigail has had many adventures and always come out triumphant.
Abigail was born to Half-Orc parents Grogard and Juliette Harlow. Growing up as a Half-Orc wasn't easy. As a child she got bullied for having green skin, tusks and a heavy build, and as a teen the bullying turned into fear and isolation due to her massive size. This only got worse as she was noted to have an incredibly high intellect, acing through all her classes at the cost of even more isolation from her peers. This resulted in a very socially awkward Half-Orc. Eventually she graduated from high school two years before her peers and moved to the Union Citadel and got a job at her old internship: Cadwaladers Guns and Glaives.
She started out as a regular mechanic like everyone else, but eventually her work outshined everyone elses. More clients specifically asked for her, even though she preferred to keep a low profile and never saw them eye to eye (most of them didn't even know she was a Half-Orc). So eventually she got promoted a couple times until she reached the position of Chief Engineer of Division 4. By this point she had managed to get a few work friends and started to come out of her shell. Until one faithful night where a rotten human being and too much alcohol led to John Michael Harlow. A son she was not ready to raise yet.
6 years have passed since, and Abigail remains at Cadwaladers Guns and Glaives, unable to move upward in life due to her finances going to raising John. But recently word of her abilities resulted in an acquaintance with Hulda Lethingo of Armadillo Volantes. An acquaintance that has resulted in a whole new path in life for Abigail Harlow.
Physical Description
Body Features
The first thing you notice about Abigail is her size. Half-Orcs are known to be tall and bulky but she is big even by those standards, especially for a woman. She's close to 7 feet tall and weighs in at about 350 Ibs, most of it muscle, while the average half-orc is around 6 feet and weighs about the 320 on average. Her chest is also quite large for a woman of her build, and in short Abigail is all-around a very large woman.
Facial Features
Most of Abigail's facial features are human. Her facial shape is fairly broad but only by human standards, full orcs tend to have more bulbous and square faces. Abigail also has smaller tusks than a full orc, her nose is the shape of an orc's but the size of a human's and the ears are less pointy and more round than them, almost square in the middle between human and orc.
Apparel & Accessories
Abigail is known among her relatives and friends to never wear anything with sleeves, preferring tank tops and the occasional vest. She is also rarely seen without her red bandana regardless if she's at home, at work or on an adventure, only taking it off to either wash it, sleep or if the occasion calls for a more formal outfit. At work she's using overalls, but always ties the jacket around her waist leading to her work friends joking that she is allergic to sleeves.
Specialized Equipment
Since Abigail recently started doing missions for Hulda Lethingo of Armadillo Volantes she has crafted a few trinkets to help along the way. First is a Backpack of Holding, a backpack with a conjuration charm that transports the objects put there to another dimension. They can be taken out of the bag with but a thought. The second is a warhammer with a built in motion sensor and alarm to warn about danger before it can strike, dubbed a Warhammer of Warning. Third is Darwin mk. II, a robotic steel defender in the form of a metal komodo dragon. It lacks the more advanced AI of its housepet predecessor Darwin mk. I, but in return has more advanced armor, movement programming and an experimental force weapon installed in its mouth. It's stored in the Backpack of Holding when not in use.

Abigail went to a regular grade school. It was here her intelligence was noted for the first time due to her acing through all classes without issue. She ended up skipping two grades from 3rd to 5th resulting in her being the only 9 year old in a class of 11-12 year olds. She eventually graduated at the age of 13 and ended up in high school early, graduating from there at 16 - the same age as the freshmen who started the same year. After that she studied two years at the Thansil Tech Academy focusing on engineering and once again graduated with top scores. She had plans to go study at the univerity in Celste's Crown after working a couple years, but a fateful night at a bar shot down those plans.
Employment
Abigail has only worked in one place after graduating: Cadwalader's Guns and Glaives, a mechanic manufacturing business. They get orders for everything from weapons and armour to vehicles and household appliances. Abigail started out as an intern during college for a couple months and came back after graduating to earn some money for a 4-year university. After getting pregnant however, she has had to remain in order to earn enough money. During the 6 years she has worked there she started out as a regular engineer, but quickly got promoted to Chief Engineer of her own division.
Mental Trauma
When Abigail was 20 and had been working at Cadwalader's Guns and Glaives for about a year she was promoted to Chief Engineer of Division 4, so her work friends took her out to celebrate. Well in a noisy bar it didn't take long for her to get drunk and unable to think clearly. That's when a human man named Albert Marsh manipulated her by smooth-talking her. Normally she would be reasonable enough to reject him and walk away, but in her drunken state she ate it up. He took her to his inn room to "get to know her better". That night was Abigail's first time, and she wasn't even fully in her right mind. The morning after her head was clear enough to realize the truth: she was raped, plain and simple. But by then Marsh was long gone. She tried to search for him for a couple of weeks on end, but only found he had left town. By now she found out she was pregnant, without the finances for an abortion. This experience not only robbed her of her free youth and remaining innocence, but also left her shaken and without trust in anyone who seems too nice. After years of searching she found him and took out a brutal vengeance on him, and while she might never fully recover from her trauma this helped her overcome the worst parts of it and become a healthier person.
Intellectual Characteristics
Probably Abigail's most stand-out trait is her extremely high intelligence. With a recorded IQ of 156 and top grades in almost everything from university, she is one of the smartest people around. She specializes in mechanics and robotics, a field in which she has very few rivals, but is highly knowledgeable in physics, biology and mathematics. The only field she has an average knowledge in is chemistry due to not focusing on that in her education, but she does still have a basic knowledge regarding the field.
Morality & Philosophy
Abigail is under the belief that the nicer someone is, the more they have to hide. Especially if they have nothing but words to prove their kindness. Last time she trusted someone based on their kind words alone she ended up with a kid before she was ready to raise one. However, if someone can back up their words with action and prove to her that they are good people then she'll do anything for them. Trust is hard to come by, so when you do then it's best to pay it back in kind.

Motivation
There used to be two things that drive Abigail. The short term one was to find Albert Marsh and get her revenge on him for raping her and robbing her of her youth. She planned to wreck both him physically and his reputation, the former by giving him the worst beating he could ever experience and the latter by outing him publically as a rapist. And she did. Her second, long term goal is to raise her son John the best she possibly can. Anything she does, whether it be working late hours or working extra as an adventurer, is to get the money needed to make sure they have a good life. And due to the well paid adventures she has gone on to help Hulda Lethingo of Armadillo Volantes she won't have worry about finances for a long time. So now she has started to look into some personal projects that she had shelved for a while. Like proper artificial intelligence...

Personality Quirks
Abigail has a short fuse and can get impatient, which is reflected in her body language. When her buttons are pushed enough she tends to punch a nearby wall (and due to her great strength this often leaves a crack or hole in said wall) and when she starts to run out of patience she usually walks around quick and aimlessly. When she isn't mad she tends to play around with her braid and drum melodies with her fingers.

Abigail is a casual follower of Gond, god of craft and holy maker of all things. She doesn't pray to him regularly or puts her life in his hands like many clerics or paladins do, but she does have a small shrine to him at home and believes in his existance. Most of the time her belief is shown when she gets annoyed and uses his name as a mild curse word.
Social Aptitude
Throughout most of her life Abigail has been very socially awkward due to a very isolated upbringing. Her fear of what other people thought of her resulted in her stuttering through the few conversations she had and regretting every word she said. But when people at and visiting Cadwaladers Guns and Glaives saw what she could do this gradually lifted. Now she doesn't care what others say about her, because she has people who likes her and then it doesn't matter what others say. She's gone from having no confidence to enough confidence for two people.
Hobbies & Pets
John, like his mother before him, didn't have many friends growing up. So Abigail did what any mother with extensive knowledge of robotics and AI would do: she built a family pet. The result was Darwin Mk. I, a robotic Komodo Dragon who's main purpose is being John's best friend. So far he has done an amazing job, and is a valued member of the small family despite being no smarter than a dog and made of metal.
