New Britain Europa Colony

The capital of British Europa, containing about two thirds of it's population at any given time, New Britain Europa Colony acted as one of the few strongholds of old humanity after The Great Pulse changed the course of human history forever.

Demographics

It was garrisoned predominantly by British soldiers however some soldiers belonged to other British Pact countries. This made Europa ethnically western European particularly British. After The Great Pulse, the colony gained it's own unique homogeneous ethnicity.

Government

The colony is under the direct control of the Admiralty Board of Europa. Who appoint either a vice or rear admiral to be district manager who have complete control of the district. There also the High Court of Europa Colony who deal with constitutional violations of High Office Appointments (British Pact).

Industry & Trade

The colony produces almost everything it needs except for raw materials which come from Europan mines and energy created from Power Farms.

Infrastructure

At the center of the Colony is the Leord Grand Bio Dome which is directly controlled by the Marshal Governor (British Europa). There are twelve districts each with a district bio dome along with between eight and twenty sub districts which function as their own bases, run by captain or commodore.

History

The colony was founded by Britain on Europa leading up to the The First Sol War, and thus became part of the British Pact. It's creation allowed Britain to maintain a hegemony over Europa. Before The Great Pulse, the colony had started to become increasingly independent due to the difficulties posed by The Orbital Wall. When The Great Pulse hit and caused the final dissolution of the British Pact, MG. Edward Leord , who at the time was a British Admiral and governor of the Europa Colony, created New Britain. A fully independent state whose goal is to survive at all costs until the time they can become reunited with Britain. The Europa Colony became the capital of New Britain. It was renamed to New Britain Europa Colony.
