As the two organizations grew the tension became more heated. Skirmishes between the two countries became common and the threat of nuclear weapons was omnipresent. As technology improved, so did sending people to space, and soon the two countries were competing to colonize the solar system. Along with The Central Order, the Brazilian Federation, started to create their own colonies, entering the competition. This period was known as The Solar Race. Eventually politics began to settle and relations improved creating an era of peace known as the The Solar Expansion Age in which humanity thrived throughout the solar system. This didn't last and soon tensions rose once again starting The First Sol War. The official British Pact ended when The Great Pulse hit destroying the once great empire.
