Grippli Species in Frigranden | World Anvil

Grippli

Grippli are small and thin humanoids, frog folk who settled in the marshy patches and wet coastal areas of Frigranden. The first frog folk were children of Natasi the Sea Maiden and many grippli worship her.

Grippli favor bows, useful in defending against avian predators.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Tadpoles are herbivores when they first hatch, eating what they can find in the birth pond. Adult grippli are carnivores that eat large insects and small invertebrates.

Civilization and Culture

Common Dress Code

Grippli wear some clothes but not full coverage. Usually, the knees and below are bare. They take their styles from other cultures, often mixing and matching what they have found.

Conservation Status
The population of grippli in Frigranden is increasing, but they are hunted by medium and large avians, kobolds, and occasionally dragons. Orcs on both sides of the continent protect grippli colonies because they believe it is bad luck to hunt them.
