The Forest's Promise

The Forest's Promise is a magic ring given to Tharivol Eldan by his brother Syrravel Eldan on his birthday during the battle for Kiberath.

The ring holds the living essence of a Treant. When downed the ring's gem will shatter and the spirit of the Treant will manifest and fight to protect the body of the downed hero. Death saves are made as usual but a failed save may be rerolled. The second roll must be accepted (even if a crit fail) If the PC revives the Treant will give what HP it has left to the PC and then die; its purpose fulfilled. If the PC fails it's death saves their spirit is absorbed by the Treant and reborn at full health. The PC must always reside in the shade of the trees though. Death of the Treant will result in death for the player. Their lives forever intertwined.
Note: friendly PCs, trying to revive the PC's body while under the protection of the Treant must pass a charisma test to persuade the Treant to let them tend to the Body. Crit fails will result in the Treant attacking the player.
