The Crossroads
The Crossroads is a city founded in the 100th year of the imperial timeline on one of the most central crossroads of the current kingdom.
Due to this, the city has seen exponential growth and is now one of the largest and most populated cities within the kingdom. It has become the central trading hub of the empire and travelling merchant frequently travel to the city from even outside kingdoms.
Demographics
A highly varied population, from elves to gnomes to tieflings, half orcs and drow elves.
Government
The City is run through an Elected Governor.
The governor is responsible for the taxation of the citizens and then how these taxes are used in expenses.
The governor also approves the positions of other governing bodies like judges and the commander of the city gaurd.
Infrastructure
The outer wall of the city are large tree's that have been manipulated both by druidic magic and carpenters to form a strong outer wall.
The innerwalls of the city around the crossing have a fairly strong defence mechanism should the city be put under siege, where the stairs will dissapear into the ground, making it impossible to reach the elevated area of the crossing without specialized equipment.

The city exist out of 4 districts:
The crossing
This is the most central area of the crossroads and has become the seat of governence for the city and where the richest nobles and family members of the royal family live.
It has it's own specialized guard and unlike the rest of the city, carrying weapons within the area of the crossing is forbidden as a regular citizen.
The Royal palace, the city library, and the city treasury are all located within the crossing.
The forestry
A mostly residential area, there are several taverns and inns located within, but these are fairly small and scattered. You can also find alchemy and foodshops within this southern section of the city.
Under the control of the Di-Luca family, who tax the residents for protection and safety.
The Metalworks
Located northeast within the city, the metalworks is a place of crafters, all variets of smiths, carpenters, tinkerers can be found here. Due to the ammount of work done wihtin this section of the city, it has this busy, dirty feeling to it.
Currently in control of Andrea Yahontov, Head of the Yahontov family, who specialize and control the logistics of goods within this section of the ity
The Markets
The 2nd wealthiest Section of the city, not far behind the crossing in wealth, but less regulated.
Magic & luxury shops can be found here, large mansions and plenty of inns and taverns of varying luxury. And the most luxurious of them all would be the Devil's Kiss.
This secion of the city is being controlled by Irahval Jindaris, a Wealthy Goliath that regulates all trade within the Markets.
Guilds and Factions
The City Gaurd
The main defenders of law&order within the city. It exist out of the 2 factions.
Outer City Gaurd
This is the larger part of the city gaurd and has lawfull authority over the forestry, the markets and the metalworks
Inner City Gaurd
These are the specialized gaurds of the Crossing
Yahontov Supplies
A noble family that holds allot of influence within the day to day happenings within the metal works. They have positioned themselves as the central logistics haven of the metalworks and provide the crafters with their materials. They will also export their goods out of the city for a fee. They have their own personal guard which patrol's the Metalworks
Di-Luca's Leatherworks
The Di-Luca family started as a leatherworkers shop within the Forestry, but seemed to have exceptional succes. They used this to gian more influence through setting up their own guard and began to tax the residents in exchange for safety and protection.
Jindaris Trade
An organisation that regulates all trade within the markets. It has gained it's position by gaining ownership of large portions of real-estate and establishing it's own well-equiped gaurd that protects the entrepreneur over the costumer. Within the markets, the customer is only right, if they are able to afford it.
Lowery's Orphans
Untill a few years ago, J.J. Lowery ran an orphanage within the forestry. He would take in children he found living on the street and gave them the, according to him, necessary skills to survive on the streets of the city. But after being pushed out by the Di-Luca family, he was forced to retreat within the sewers of the city. Where he re-established his orphanage and is trying to regain his influence.
Points of interest
Devil's Kiss
A luxurious Brothel/Tavern, that does not only provide companionship, but regularly holds shows and dances within it's walls.
Owned by a flamboiant Tiefling known as Rodea Séduire.
Anyone will be able to find their tastes here, and drinks are plenty.
Tribin's Spectacular Warez
A magic item shop, run by a satyr named Tribin.
Hollow Tree Arena
An arena within the markets district where regularly tournaments are organized. Once a year there is a large tournament organized by the powerfull families that reside within the city. This tournament is not only for the spectacle, but will also be used to settle disputes.
Crossroads Library
The 2nd largest public library of the kingdom, lots of history and knowledge can be found here.
Geography
Located on a crossroads near at the edge of the Westgrass Meadows and the Eastgrass Woodlands. A river Runs through the city but has been rerouted to run underground through the sewer system of the city.
