The Invisible College

When the Inquisition fell upon the Church, research papers were destroyed, scholars imprisoned, and any further investigations cancelled. A small team of priests began smuggling papers back and forth, maintaining their research covertly, out of view from the Inquisition. This is the Invisible College: science at the risk of losing their lives.
Eisen is the hottest place to study monsters in all of Théah, and the members of the Invisible College have been fascinated enough to descend on the country in droves. The membership has been challenged to discover why Eisen draws so many monsters, with a member expected to share information with others while he races for an answer.
The challenge is as much about glory for the one who discovers an answer as an incentive to members to aid Eisen in its most desperate time. In fact, some members have begun circulating an alarming theory: the Horrors are not decreasing in number despite all the fighting, but in fact may be increasing. To that end, College members embed themselves in places of learning all across Eisen to further research into the Horrors, and have become some of the leading researchers into the different kinds of Horrors out there. They often work with die Kreuzritter to share information with their monster hunters to better equip them for fighting the Horrors at hand.
