Stein District

On the Southern side of Freiberg is the Stein District. This quarter is the eldest part of the city, built around the old military fortress. Nearly decimated during the War, the Stein itself has been rebuilt and serves as headquarters for all military troops operating in Freiburg, including Träge’s Iron Guard, known as the Wachhunde. Many of the poorest Bauren and even some Waisen clustered around the Stein before Trage reformed the city into Freiberg, and they still make this district their home. Even so, fighting academies and dueling schools have sprung up in the area as well, and anyone seeking good military weapons could find them along one long street run by the Weaponsmith’s Guild, the Iron Arm.
