“Grandmother’s shawl.” A group that began in the Commonwealth during the War of the Cross. Common citizens prepared to respond to disasters, providing aid, comfort and shelter to those in need.
With so much horror going on all across Eisen, the Shawl is all but swamped gathering supplies and aiding ailing communities. The organization has facilitated plenty of shipments of everything from medical supplies to food and weapons to hardpressed communities from allies in the Sarmatian Commonwealth and Ussura.
Most recently they have reached out to the Yachidi population settling in Eisen in towns like Heimstatt to establish trade further into the Crescent Empire with a great deal of success, as the Yachidi consider helping those in need a cardinal part of their religious and cultural ideals. Still, the roads from so far away into the heart of Eisen have many dangers and a member of the Shawl finds herself picking up a sword as often as she feeds the hungry these days.
They also watch the growing movements supporting the various personalities for leader, hoping no one is stupid enough to start another war over who gets to rule. The members of the Shawl are ready and willing to stop such a war before it could begin.
