WorldEmber 2021 Pledge

I pledge to write 10, 000 words for WorldEmber while looking after myself mentally and physically... hopefully.

Once again, December is approaching and it is another month of writing. I am taking a break from NaNoWriMo this year, and it has given me some time to plan out my articles and world so I don't stray off the canon once more. I've been thinking on applying this kind of work ethic for the future; I will do NaNoWriMo but will skip on WorldEmber and vice versa. That way, I do not face any writing burnout and see what needs to be worked on.

Plans for WorldEmber 2021

Working on the canon. Honestly, that is my best bet when it comes to worldbuilding. The last thing I need is to have inconsistencies all over the place and at least get the core information up so I can go back to refer to them.

Day 1-10

The Dark Calamity swallowed Maerus, prompting the Lys to recreate the world anew with perfect beings called the Feras. Though the world is smaller than its predecessor, it is a small haven for the Lys' children. They were granted Elemi, the power of Nature to connect with their new world and environment.

Day 11-20

Humanity stripped the Frantumare off the Feras, desecrating their homes and land. With the All-Father's intervention, Humans gained Elemi, much to the chagrin of the Lys. However, the All-Father invited Lunaya, the Goddess of the Moon and leader of the Lys, to a "game of chess" with Feras and Humans as their pawn. Reluctantly, she entertained the game.

Day 21-30

Bloods were shed. Humans and Fera fell in the Great War of Worldkind. A peace treaty was signed, but Humans dominated Frantumare, purposely banished the Feras to faraway lands with no guarantee of survival. They control the politics, economics and religion of the world.

Day 31

The second Great War of Worldkind is looming. Humanity is distracted by their own wealth and happiness. It would be a matter of time before the Feras decided to strike for the mistreatment they caused.
