Myth of the Twin Moons

"Fa (the first moon) and Fi (the second moon) were once the same person with two heads on the same body. Fa fell in love with Laan (the ocean), but Fi wanted nothing to do with Laan. Their fight over this ravaged the fledgling planet with terrible storms and massive tidal waves. To stop the fighting, and protect her creation, Ci (the mother-goddess), separated Fa from Fi. Allowing Fa to have her relationship with Laan creating [currently unnamed god of Tides]."

Historical Basis

Back before the Ahsi existed, and the planet Cianlis was new, there was only one moon. This was FaFi. During the time at which Cianlis' land was forming, FaFi was struck by an asteroid that broke off a chunk of the moon. This chunk became known as Fi, with the larger moon being Fa.

Ahsi scientists cannot agree on whether or not the breakup of FaFi is why the planet has so few Significant Size Landmasses (Continents) or if that's unrelated to the moons at all.
