Cradle of Hope

The south-western part of the continent. It was here that the settlers of old landed on the shores of Fortuna Nuova.

Geography

Grassy plains irrigated by rivers flowing from the eastern mountains to the western seas. It's completely cut off from the rest of the continent by these very same mountains. The land itself is very flat with few hills, giving it access to easy enjoyable walks with a lovely view.

Central in these lands lies the Mistwalk Basin, a big lake created by multiple mountain flows coming together. This lake is surrounded by the second biggest forest of the continent.

Fauna & Flora

The land is dotted with the occasional oak, elm or birch tree. The rivers flowing from the mountains provide excellent areas for farming so wheat or corn fields are often seen throughout the Cradle. Domesticated animals like cows or sheep can also be found quit often.

Around the Mistwalk Basin lies a densely forested area called the Mistwalk Forest. These lands are filled with wild animals like boar or deer, but few people dare to hunt these down in fear of being found by the Mistwalkers.
