The Council of Mages
King Keane I of the Moonshaes made magic more acceptable to the Ffolk of the Moonshaes. The Council of Mages is based on Alaron in Caer Callidyrr. The mages are still autonomous but must serve the High King in times of need. They are allowed to undergo their own pursuits, and their own endeavors, but there must always be 6 of them available in Callidyrr. These mages all have several apprentices, making the number of mages operating in the Moonshaes closer to 100. All Ffolk who manifest powers as sorcerors, or who wish to study as Wizards must register with the Council or be considered outlaws and severely punished.A registered mage or sorcerer is then apprenticed to a master. Apprentice mages are not given the autonomy of the 13 council members, and must defend the realm when called upon. The apprentices are only allowed to go about their own lives with permission from their masters. If they leave the council without permission they are considered outlaws and the Council deals with them appropriately.
The leader of the Council is the Archmage of the Council and is also the High King’s court wizard.

Warlock Circle
The Warlock’s of the Moonshaes derive their power from the land. They are trusted more than mages because the source of magic is viewed as coming from the land. There are 9 warlocks that are members of the Warlock Circle. They understand that the old magic is powerful and they must keep a sharp watch for warlocks that abuse their power. The Nine’s only obligation is to come to the defense of the realm when called upon by the High King, and ensure those embarking on the path of the Warlock derive their power from no other source but the land and the Earth Mother. Only the Archfey is allowed as Other Worldly Patron Leader: Lord Johanne of cantrev Lockhart on Alaron (CN hm Wk 20) Int: 18 Chr: 20Druids and Druid Circles
Every Druid of the Moonshaes follows the Earthmother. A druid is given a territory he must watch over depending on his rank in the circle. Each Moonshae Druid has a unique grove at the center of that territory. Druids, Archdruids, and Great Druids have territories which encompass druids lower in the circle. The Druid Circles serve the land of the Moonshaes, and since the High King is sanctioned by the Earthmother, the druids aid him, but they are not obliged to any service to the High King. Indeed if the royalty ever turned from the Earthmother, it would be the druids that try to overthrow them.Druid Circles

The Nobles:
Most of the Cantrev Lords and higher nobility of the Moonshaes follow the statistics of the Noble entry in the Monster Manual, with only minor variations. Those unique nobles of adventurer class are listed below. Isle of Gwynneth: King Tasgail MacLyonDwarven Clans
The Dwarves of the Moonshae islands keep to themselves. With the retaking of their mountains and tunnels during the Sundering and the War with the Fey, they are more prone to friendliness with the Ffolk, and proved a great ally in the War with Amn. King Graell has made it clear he will be an aid to the High King when the threat is orcs, goblins, giants, and other threats from the mountains, but he is staying out of any human war.Dwarves:

Synnoria:
The Valley of Synnoria is a hidden valley with many enchantments. The elves eons ago made a pledge to the Earthmother to defend Gwynneth and her Ffolk, and in exchange they received many gifts of the land such as Mirror Lake and the Singing Waterfalls. The worship of Corellon Larethian and the other deities of the Elven Pantheon are common, but all the Llewyr are subject to the Earth Mother’s Pact. The magic of their valley is directly tied to the goddess, and though Corellon is worshipped here, the elves will rally to the call of the Earthmother.
The Llewyr elves maintain friendly relations with the Kendrik line, and will rally to the aid of the Kingdom of Moonshae. Synnoria is independent and not subservient to the High King, but in 1482DR High King Derydd Kendrik acquired the services of the Sisters of Synnoria after he was able to ride Avalon the stallion of the Sister of Synnoria’s warhorses. They were instrumental in the war of the Unseelie Fey of Citadel Umbra, and in the War with Amn.
The Retreat of Sarifal, The Fall of Shadowfell
1481 was a grand year of change for the Moonshae island. As the sundering of the worlds was occurring, the barrier between the feywild, shadowfell, and Prime Material started to strengthen. The fey on the Moonshaes could feel their connection fading, and they all had to make a choice; stay on the Prime or go back to Fey. This created many problems for Sarifal, which was a land rooted in the Faerie Realm but located on the Prime Material. High Lady Ordfal felt thedisconnect just as she started to sense the return of Kazgoroth. Many theorize that it was the fulfilment of her ancient prophecy that finally strengthened the barriers, for as she faded after her victory over the Beast, so the barriers strengthened. Urphanta of Citadel Umbra sensed this strengthening as well, and became more determined to conquer large swaths of Gwynneth and bring it to the Shadowfell with her.
Urphanta began to grow more aggressive, and the Highlanders of Gwynneth were determined to stop her. Warlord Sir Turloch MacLyon allied with Prince Araithe of Sarifal and laid siege to citadel Umbra. Urphanta had an alliance with the goblins of the Dernall Forest, but King Derydd’s forces with the High Druid Antola Pilark were keeping them occupied in the forest. King Derydd was now commited to the invasion of Snowdon, but he had to commit forces to fight the Goblins. The Great Gark of the Feywild was not able to send proper reinforcements to the goblin-fey, and this caused the goblins of the forest to give way. Duke Geerk, the goblin leader was vanquished, paving the way for House Kendrik to lend aid to the Highlanders of Gwynneth with their battle. The siege of Umbra lasted two months, with Urphanta gaining as many reinforcements as she could from the other planes, though sparse they were. When the gates of Citadel Umbra fell, many of the unseelie fey returned to the Feywild rather than risk entrapment on the Prime. The Highlanders battled for long hours, and Prince Araithe finally vanquished Urphanta, denying her the vengeance she so desperately wanted on High Lady Ordfal. The host of Sarifal hunted the Unseelie, and gave none of them a choice of whether or not to stay on the Prime.
Caer Corwell was overrun by the Fey of Sarifal in 1385 DR. Sir Turloch, though they were on friendly terms demanded reparations in the form of aid so the Ffolk could retake Caer Corwell. Prince Araithe agreed to the terms, and the defeat of the Pirate Elf, Silver Silwyrt occurred quickly, his ship sunk by Sir Turloch’s spells, and the captain dying upon his blade. Prince Araithe captured and killed, the twisted Phillwyp, and within days Caer Corwel was cleared, once again in the hands of House Kendrik. Originally, King Derydd wanted Caer Corwell only as an embassy, but now, with Sarifal fading back to the Land of Faerie, even Prince Araithe knew, it was the beginning of Gwynneth’s resettlement.
There was an additional boon to the realms separating that would prove of great benefit to King Deryyd. The dwarves of the Fairheight Range, the clan Rookoath with the aid of Clan Rustfire, refugees from the Cambro Mountains of Gwynneth, were embroiled in a battle against the shadow dragon Hrallyx and his shadow allies. The dragon brokered an uneasy alliance with the orcs and trolls of the Fairheight range who were having difficulty with the Rookoath dwarves. Clan Rookoath and Clan Rustfire were ready to drive the orcs and trolls to the surface of the mountains when Hrallyx allied with the humanoids and forced the clans back, taking many of the Dwarven tunnels on the push.
The alliance was uneasy but strong, driving the dwarves further and deeper into the Fairheight range. That progress ceased when the Shadowplane started to separate. Hrallyx's shadowarmy was fading back into the plane. This was the opportunity Finnelin needed, and she pushed her army into their old tunnels. The orcs and trolls resisted, but the might of the two clans was too much for them without their Shadow allies. Hrallyx led a final stand with her weakened shadow army and humanoids. The orcs and trolls lost three for every dwarf, the shadow creatures either falling, fading, or retreating upon conflict, and it was Finnelin herself that laid the killing axe to Hrallyx's dark breast.
The Fairheight range was taken back, the orcs and trolls scattered back to their holes. Clan Rookoath reclaimed their halls with Clan Rustfire.
Clan Rustfire, longed to gain their tunnels back, and they with forces from Clan Rookoath used the dwarven roads to return to the Cambro mountains. Much to their surprise the tunnels were mostly unoccupied except for some goblins and kobolds who were in defense of their stolen halls from an invading army of gnomes. The goblins and kobolds would not have been able to stand against the dwarven army alone, regardless of their fighting of gnome invaders. The goblins and kobolds either fled or were slaughtered, and Clan Rustfire easily took back their Gwynneth home. The gnomes were welcomed into the hall and given their own tunnels. When the Dwarves emerged from their halls, they discovered Sarifal was fading, and Gwynneth was again becoming part of the Kendrick Dynasty's kingdom.

In the time before the Spellplague, Malar was defeated by the Tarakion ranger Torandar Giantsbane. The People of the Black Blood summoned their divine lord to defeat Torandar, after he began to slaughter them by the tribe. Their plan backfired, and they suffered greatly after The Hawk of the Lady captured the divinity of Malar. For most of the period known as the Spellplague, Torandar hunted down and destroyed most of the Lycanthropes in the Black Blood. But Faerun, was not the only place to hold the Black Blood, as there was a sizable population on the Isle of Moray in the Moonshaes, and many of the People of the Black Blood on Faerun, fled to that land to avoid Torandar’s wrath. The Black Blood of the Isle of Moray used ancient rites to warp the moonwell near the Orcskill mountains. Victim after victim was sacrificed, the blood pain, and suffering of fey, ffolk, and humanoids corrupted the well making it ripe to summon Kazgaroth; Kazgaroth to seek vengeance on Torandar Giantsbane, and ravage the Moonshaes to serve as Malar’s Prime Material home. Though far off on Faerun, The Hawk of the Lady was able to sense the Moonwell’s corruption. He left his battles with Shade to teleport to the Moonshaes, along with Asor the Grand Druid of the High Forest. By the time they reached Moray, the summoning was successful. The people of the Black Blood seized and enslaved the Ffolk of Caer Moray, thanks to a traitor in the town. The people of Caer Moray were the final blood victims needed to usher Kazgaroth into the world. Fairview and Horst were the first towns to fall to Kazgaroth. The host of lycanthropes, lizard folk, and orcs were ravaging Moray. Torandar lead an army of Ffolk out of Dynegall, but though Torandar was able to slaughter many of their leaders, and Branwyn Moonsinger was able to turn the land against the people of the Black Blood, the horde overran the Ffolk. There was respite with lizardfolk that followed Sylvanus, they prevented the Breasal marsh from getting completely overrun, and Asor was able to bring them to Torandar’s side. The settlements on Moray were completely overrun, including the Amnish settlers. All the peoples of the Moonshaes under guidance and leadership of Torandar retreated to Caer Moray with its palisades still intact, since the capture of the town occurred by betrayal. The Ffolk were holed up with a demigod and chosen of Sylvanus on their side. The black blood host was strong, but Kazgaroth was even stronger. They knew there was no way the Palisades would hold. This desperate hour, held the key to the victory of Malar through Kazgaroth. When all seemed lost, mystical trumpets sounded, and a mist rolled in from the sea. Portals began to open, pouring forth the army of Lady Ordalf, lending her power to the battle after weeks of despair. The gates of Moray opened, and the Ffolk stormed over The Black Blood. Fey kingdom and Ffolk united. Torandar Giantsbane, charged through the foes to engage Kazgoroth. Two primal foes engaging for mastery of the Moonshaes. After many hours Kazgoroth struck the victory blow. The captured divinity of Malar left the Giantsbane, and began to flow into Kazgoroth. The black blood knew victory was assured. The siphon halted at the sound of a command. The divinity rerouted, to the High Lady Ordfal. The Fey queen engaged the beast, striking blow after blow with magic and sword. Kazgoroth struck blow after blow weakening the majestic queen. The queen proved too powerful, and Kazgoroth was slain. The divinity left the Beast, knocked Ordfal flat, and continued into the dark sky taking the divine remains left in Lady Ordfal with it. Her breathing shallow, she began to fade, as her realm of Sarifal was fading into the Realm of Fey. Lady Ordfal knew, her death was near, but the prophecy was fulfilled. She saved the Mortal Realms from the darkness of the Beast. Asor revived Torandar, and the High Lady was mourned.
