General Summary
We elected to spend one more day in Candlekeep for additional research, both within the library proper and by conversing with a cleric of Oghma in the temple next to the House of Rest.
We learned Oghma's domain, the House of Knowledge, is a forested area in the Outlands. As Oghma is not a god native to Toril, his domain resides next to others of his pantheon in a realm called Tír na nÓg.
We also learned Shevarash, the elven god of vengeance and loss, is a rather violent being who visits bloody destruction on those who have betrayed the Seldarine and Correlon in particular. His followers are similarly zealous guerillas who hunt and destroy in their god's name. While Shevarash's home is with the rest of the Seldarine in the Arborean realm of Arvandor, he is often on the hunt elsewhere.
Daring to research the Far Realms, we also discovered that Ilsensine too has a domain the Outlands, known as the Caverns of Thought. Approaching Ilsensine is dangerous, best accomplished by locating where one of his infinite tentacles wind through the multiverse. Such sites tend to be holy to mind flayers, however, and are thus dangerous for different reasons.
Armed with this knowledge, we decided our first task would be to consult Oghma. We travelled to Thebestys in the Outlands by way of the The World Serpent Inn in Arabel. We also stocked up on some rations and, thanks to Milo, found someone who sold the mundane currency of the Outlands, lodestars, and exchanged a few gold pieces for the planar coinage. While we are in Thebestys, we might as well also look into the great library there, before Leo bursts.
