General Summary
The morning saw the duo briefly tour the south span of Wyrm's Crossing, spying Sharess' Caress and learning of a 2 cp toll to pass through Wyrm's Rock each way. They returned to Rivington and visited The Drunken Eel, where Ovak survived the "drink with the fishes" challenge and earned 3 sp and a suggestion to return to the tavern at sundown.
The pair perambulated about Rivington to get the lay of the land, finding it mostly populated with anglers, millers and tradesfolk. Pern was unsuccessful at making a connection with a local carpenter, but fate took them past Pemberton's Pawn where a chat with the new tough standing guard led them back to Villa Gregario. There, they met Arfur Gregario himself conversing with a woman called Shava and the tough Pern confronted before, called "Nighteye". They apparently intrigued Shava enough that she also suggested the duo meet her at the Drunken Eel at dusk.
Having a private chat with Arfur, they learned the toymaker (specializing in puppets) returned home to find at least a dozen refugees from Elturel squatting in his villa. Shava, leader of the Rivington Rats, set a price of 25 gp to remove the squatters. Arfur informed them that hundreds to thousands of refugees are clogging Baldur's Gate, and the Flaming Fist is on edge. Ovak suggested he and Pern might take care of his squatters, although by means of business rather than force.
