SKT: Session 6: A quest and a tower
General Summary
So penned by mine own hand,Chapter the Sixth: Zephyros and the Path to Goldenfields
Upon returning from the Dripping Caves, the weary travelers made their way back to Nightstone. The village lay eerily quiet, its drawbridge raised as though the town held its breath. The adventurers called out, and soon, Sydiri Haunlar’s head peeked over the palisade. Relief washed over his face as he spied the rescued villagers. The drawbridge creaked downward, and the gates opened to welcome both saviors and saved. The villagers dispersed, each seeking solace in the ruins of their homes. Amidst the scattered remnants of lives upturned, Madra’s sense of purpose ignited. With quiet strength, he moved among the people, offering his aid. Rubble was cleared, doors were unjammed, and spirits were lifted, however briefly. In the midst of the recovery, Destiny Agganor, a Tiefling, entered a house marked with hellish runes. When Madra approached, she warned him not to cross the threshold unless he wished to seal his fate in hell. Her son, Grin Agganor, echoed the warning. Moments later, Destiny emerged, presenting the group with a healing potion and a healer’s kit—gifts of gratitude, if not friendship. With the rebuilding effort underway, Morak Ur'gray approached the party with two solemn requests. The Xelbrins, an elderly couple killed in the giant attack, had a surviving Tressym named Rillix and a grandson, Miros, who resided in Goldenfields. Morak asked the party to deliver Rillix and share the tragic news. Additionally, he urged them to notify Alaestra Ulgar in Triboar of the fate of her ex-husband, Darthag Ulgar, who had run the Lionshield Coster in Nightstone. The party accepted both tasks and prepared for a well-earned rest. Dawn brought an unexpected sight: a floating tower crowned with a wizard’s hat, drifting toward the village. As it drew near, stairs of clouds unfurled before the adventurers. Azure, seized by fear of enslavement, turned invisible and fled. The others, undeterred, ascended the ethereal staircase. At the top, they entered the tower, passing through a shimmering blue curtain. Descending from the upper floor came a figure of great stature and greater eccentricity: Zephyros, a Cloud Giant Wizard. Draped in robes adorned with golden stars, he greeted the party warmly, his booming voice carrying both whimsy and wisdom. He spoke of destinies and whispers from the planes, naming the party as key players in the restoration of the Ordning. The party introduced themselves, though Azure remained hidden behind the curtain. Zephyros, undaunted, offered his aid. He could ferry them to their destination—Goldenfields—and along the way, he regaled them with stories and ponderings, his towering intellect matched only by his curious demeanor. As the group settled into the cloud giant’s ethereal tower, they were joined by an unexpected figure: Scriers Phink, a bard whose sharp wit and boundless enthusiasm had already made him a fixture in the tales of the common folk. Drawn by the threads of destiny and the promise of stories yet untold, Scriers declared his intent to chronicle their journey, his quill poised to immortalize their deeds. With a flair for the dramatic and a knack for embellishment, he quickly endeared himself to Zephyros, matching the giant’s whimsical ponderings with his own poetic musings. Together, they turned even the simplest exchanges into grand performances, much to the amusement—and occasional exasperation—of the party. As the days passed aboard Zephyros’s tower, the group found moments of camaraderie. Madra, ever eager for a challenge, sparred with his companions and even Zephyros himself—a match that ended swiftly in the giant’s favor. Their journey was interrupted on the third day by the arrival of nine riders atop giant vultures. The humans, clad in birdlike helms, introduced themselves as emissaries of Yan-C-Bin, the elemental prince of air. They sought Zephyros’s allegiance in returning the world to its primordial state. The party, wary of the cultists, warned Zephyros against aligning with such forces. Zephyros, moved by their words and his own conscience, declined the offer. The emissaries departed, leaving a pouch of faerie dust as a token—a gift laced with tension and unanswered questions. As the towering walls of Goldenfields came into view, Zephyros bid the party farewell, his role in their journey complete. Scriers Phink, sensing the greatness in their tale, chose to accompany them, his quill eager to chronicle their exploits. At the gates, the adventurers were greeted by Hantanus Tarm, a boorish figure whose welcome was less than warm. Inside, Azure made his way to the Harvesthome Abbey, where he encountered serene statues of Chauntea, two hungry black bears, and the stern guard Zi Liang. Meanwhile, the rest of the party visited Miros Xelbrin at the Northfurrow's End. The burly, hairy barkeep received the news of his grandparents’ demise with sorrow but thanked the party for reuniting him with Rillix. He offered them lodging in gratitude, though Madra’s preference for the barn earned him a playful threat of a water bucket. Elsewhere, Juniper conversed with Lifferlas, a Treant who embodied the slow, deliberate wisdom of the forest. Madra assisted Shalvus Martholio with the town’s livestock, building rapport through shared labor. As the day waned, the group reconvened at the inn, their minds brimming with plans for the days ahead. Thus ends this chapter of their tale—a story of bonds forged in kindness, challenges met with valor, and the ever-looming shadow of destiny. What lies ahead in Goldenfields remains a mystery, but the winds of fate continue to guide their steps.

Castle:Notes:
My grand overlord has met with some peons. Some weird people, one is blue. Wait, Destined. Different voice, mysterious. Big guy seems to be quite stupid.Epic tales:
I look into his eyes and I think back to that son of mine as old as he was. Handsome dwarven woman who snaps the bad guys neck. Handsome hero. Kevin of the pigmeat saved a village by dancing. He worked as a city guard and he worked as something called an “X-Man” Christmas?! Big guy killed people. And talked to horses. Released many dead animals. Quite neat battle with a goblin. Genocide. Dwarf killed 6 orcs. Human is boring. Goblins in village killed, goblins in hideout killed. Many spirits in the big guy. Blue guy is also boring. Big guy cannot perform in bed.Training:
Wizard is going to battle Big man. Wizard is winning in their training. Furthermore, he walks over to blue guy. They also train. Big guys loses. Dwarf also trains blue guy. Dwarf wins. Now master trains with Large Lad. He wins, a lot. Desecrated. They now all work together to train against. They are evenly matched. Today we were visited by a group of cultist from howling hatred following the great Yan-C-Bin. They wanted the great master’s help with “returning the world to it’s primordial roots”. Don’t know what that means, but he didn’t feel like it, so we sent them on their way. Strange people these “Chosen ones are”. They are just rummaging around the ship and looking around. Although they’re all afraid of falling, these days pass by peacefully, but soon we will land. These people’s destiny seems to be very important, it’s admirable. I look forward to seeing what happens with their stories.Village
The castellan has been at his position for 10 months. He seems out of his league. I follow the big guy and the dwarf. The big guy seems to be trying to defeat cats in his “training”. Seems like abuse more than anything. Bram is aroused by statue. Matthijs is looming over Bram. Big guy sleeps in the stable at night, he will stop at nothing. Big guy and dwarf went to see a big hairy guy, he had been taking care of the cats. Someone threw a rock on this guy’s grandparents. Their entire house got crushed, only the cats survived. The tavern survived. Human gave the big hairy guy a cat, he almost threw it. Big guy is a piece of shit, I think he might just be incredibly fucking stupid. Hairy guy is going to throw a bucket of water over big guy if he ever finds them in the stables. Big guy want’s to buy a “Horse”(Cow). He wants to eat it. The guy doesn’t let him. He asked if he could help the guy selling the cows. He is killing or immobilizing most of the livestock. He is given different tasks more based on strength.
