The Living Flame Herself Character in Forge Islands | World Anvil

The Living Flame Herself

Born from The Scar of Akrasia, a horrendous ritual performed by a well-meaning wizard who sacrificed a pheonix to help keep the flames of The Hearth alive, The Living Flame Herself is a spiteful, hateful fire elemental whose goal is singular - usurp The Hearth.

Flickering Shadow and Light

Born of a Pheonix, her flames wrap around her like a cloak of feathers, draging behind her like the plumage of a peacock. Bruised red, sickly oranges, and feverish yellows all curl, spider-like, coloring her impossibly tall feminine form.   While able to transform Her shape into anything that would suit Her, She found that most were comforted by a warm Motherly appearance - something tall, embracing, and warm. Her smiles are cut and fesigned, her fingers dainty and fashioned, her movements graceful and trained. She is a performed, and like any good candle - knows very well how to dance.

The Suit of a Furnace

When making public appearances, She wears an armor of full-plate cast iron which is modelled after almost a furnace with it's slitted helm and hatched back which allows someone to shovel in coal or fuel. This armor protects Her when it rains, during hard gusts, and otherwise allows her to move about undetected (minus the very obvious heat eminating from Her).

Leader of the Flames of Chaos

Wicked by mistaken design, she became the Leader of Chaos by promising her fire magics to others in exchange for their help. She preached that The Hearth was in dire straits, and needed the world to be cleasned. She was sent forth as a messagener, of course - and was only here to help. Of course, with the denizens of the world needing The Hearth to live, the panic and promised power swayed weaker minds, and the organization was created.   Of course, her designs are much more wicked than she lets on. As soon to be the usurper of the Hearth, she looks forward to sating her hunger at the center of the world as she deserves - as is her created purpose - and watching the oceans boil.
