Curse of Strahd Session 16
Lost in Ravenloft!
General Summary
Fulldra, 19th of Mid-Ardent, 1736
Despite a countless flock of horrid creatures flying above, they were flying after something shining in the sky, enough to illuminate the fog above. At ease, they moved on to Castle Ravenloft.
Upon arrival, they headed up a set of stairs and into a vast chamber where Strahd materialized from his fog form and into his vampiric one on the seat. They then engaged until Moar summoned sunlight into the room. Strahd retreated through a wall with a secretive room behind it. Clovis engaged via a dimension door spell, leaving it between him and Strahd.
Clovis then went invisible, fleeing from Strahd for a brief moment and went on to follow the Dreadlord throughout the castle to see what he would be up to.
The rest of the party meets Lief Lipsiege, Strahd’s accountant. Fooled by Tastarn as Strahd, Lief gave him quite a lot of florens for a spell. The party then goes on to Ravenloft’s chapel where they find the Icon of Ravenloft on the altar and an eerie mace on the hands of a dead body.
Clovis notices Strahd moving about the castle and informing the inhabitants of the Fevre’s presence.
The rest of the party makes their way up a staircase, meeting the disturbing Pidlwick II, a small toy construct who hates Strahd after he was neglected and cast aside. He happily joins the party’s efforts to teach Strahd a lesson.
Hopping down the hollow staircase, the party now lands in the Catacombs of Ravenloft. After some perusing, Tastarn finds a crypt that contains Beucephalus, Strahd’s personal Nightmare steed.
