Curse of Strahd Session 15
General Summary
Arachdra, 18th of Mid-Ardent, 1736
When the party left the burgomaster's mansion, they saw the local guards head to the eastern gate where Strahd had a heavy focus. The party brought along Victor Vallakovich and Antonin Fevre to escape from the west gate after fooling the guards into briefly opening the doors, allowing them to escape via invisibility. They then headed to the Wizard of Wines Winery, hoping to drop off the acquired gem.
Upon arrival, they heard a horrid scream...
NEVERSPLINTER!
Fumbling from the treeline was a massive tree blight heading for the winery as the druids of Yester Hill cheered the abomination on. The party managed to destroy the creature with only a few scratches. The owners applaud the party, granting them their thanks and rest at the Winery. During that time, Tastarn coordinated with Fabulus on the next plan of action but the Nameless Host intercepted eventually. Because the boy insulted the Host, it sent an umbrelk after them straight out of a cavity from the Abyss.
Fulldra, 19th of Mid-Ardent, 1736
What Fabulus tells Tastarn is that the beacon above Argynvostholt has made a weak point of entry within the fog and sends an imp as they make their way over. The imp provides Tastarn the tools needed to summon Fabulus himself and to take on the Umbrelk to buy them time. Strahd is the key in this whole debacle, as upon his death, Barovia is freed from both his influence and the Host's.
Unsure of their next move as the finale comes closer and closer, the party decides to take on Strahd with their accumulated friends they met at the Gate of Barovia within the valley. When they meet up at the gates, however, they notice swarms of those strange bat-like creatures up on those rocks.
