Underground Trains

We all are very well aware that our world is flat, with both of its sides inhabited by people. Though they are literally on the opposite sides there is a lot of communication, travel and trading going on between the two sides of our world.

T@Ö#Ä3 is known for its electronics that get sold and used all across the world, but they have barely any fertile land to produce food for all the people living here. But the question is, how do they get all the stuff from one side to the other? Well they transport everything through a series of tunnels leading all the way from Å+*4~ to T@Ö#Ä3.

Tunnel system

Tunnel systems usually lead almost directly from one side of the world to the other. They begin in the trading station on one side, and lead all the way down (or up) to the trading station on the other side. Tunnels usually descend in a long, winding spiraly way down do the middle of the world, where they are turned upside down and contunue their way up to the otehr side. Down here the whole track gets inverted, kinda like a corkscrew roller coaster, just not as exciting.

The Trains

The trains are specially designed to be able to cary large amounts of goods through such a long and precarious tunnel. They tend to be really long, and filled with as many goods as possible (so they don't need to make this journey too often). All of the goods need to be secured in place for what's about to come.

The journey, as you can imagine, is pretty long and can take days. So, you might wonder, where do these trains get all the fuel they need to make such a long journey? Well, they don't. You see these trains just kinda ger dropped down this track, which is just the right amount of sloped for train to gain speed, but also winding enough to not gain speed too fast. Make no mistake though, this train will get pretty fast by the time it gets down to the middle of the world - but that's ok, because now it will start its journey up. Hopefully it will gain enough speed and momentum to make it all the way up, and in about 99% of cases it does. There has been a handful of times where the train didn't quite make it, and it ended up sliding back down, and then going back and forth for a while until just stopping completely in the middle. Each of these has been remembered as a nearly catastrophic event that still lives in people's memories to this day. Luckily no one was on that train. See that's another thing, no one is actually on these trains, they are self drivign and run on the same AI as artifical people.

Anyway, all the techical details of these tracks have been calculated, adjusted and calculated again by the artificial people of West T@Ö#Ä3, so hopefully all of the tracks should be working fine now. Of course, there are a lot of safety regulations in place, such as the exact right amount of goods that needs to be loaded into a train to make it through just right, many regulations about how exactly the goods need to be secured into the carts along with all the proper monitoring and communication systems in place.
