To TV or not to TV?

In our world, TV as you may know it in your world is long gone. By now, it was completely replaced by a variety of streaming services. You can download these as apps to any of your smart devices and watch your favorite content anywhere: at home, on a vacation, on your lunch break at home and everywhere else.

These apps may be dedicated to popular shows, movies, documentaries, vlogs, music or anything else. Some may be specialized in comedy movies, others in true crime documentaries, and some more significant organizations may have their own apps - such as the official apps for local town square shows.

The big ones

There are quite a lot of these streaming apps out there, so it might be hard to really decide which ones to use, or where to even begin. But don’t worry, there are a few of the biggest, most popular streaming services that hold the biggest amounts of all of the most popular shows. These are as follows:

Jutub!

This one is one of the most popular content streaming platforms for an average everyday user. It hosts mostly random everyday videos that people might like to share with the world, from funny catbunny videos to people’s vlogs, commentary and reactions to events, silly internet drama, funny posts from elsewhere on the internet and more. These videos are known for a more low-budget production made for a hobby and just to share some thoughts and content to the world.

Jutub!.tv

Similar to Jutub, but with a bit more production value. This is a platform for creators that are a bit more than amateur, and making their way out of obscurity. Among other things, Jutub!.tv also has all of the recordings of Town Square Shows.

Popstream

This is the big one - the one that has the biggest collection of the most popular series, movies and even podcats available for streaming. The premium subscription may be a bit pricey, and understandably so, but even the free version offers a massive amount of content. But though everyone loves watching movies and shows here, the invitation to “Popstream and chill” means anything but watching movies ;)

HearMeOut

This one is for music in particular. It has videos and songs of all of the popular artists, along with all sorts of content related to them, such as interviews, recordings of live shows and more. It has a video app version, and listen only version - great for listening to music while on the go.

TSS

This app is specifically dedicated to town square shows. Each Town Square of our world has its own channel here. Here you can watch live broadcasts from Town Squares, or watch any of the older recordings of the older shows.

More

The ones listed above are only the biggest and most popular ones. Apart from those, you can look for any more specific kind of app that you’d like; maybe one dedicated to comedy movies, one for science documentaries, or anything in between. These will offer you not only the popular shows, but also the lesser known ones, so if there’s a certain topic you're more interested in, they could be well worth your while. Though, having too many different apps for different things may be a little bit annoying.
