Personal Transport
People of our world for the most part rely on public transportation, or simply walk to places. But there are times when it’s easier and most convenient to have some mode of personal transportation you can use anytime, without having to rely on entities out of your control. These range from quick and convenient bikes to boats that serve more as vacation homes than specifically transportation.
Vehicles
(Electric) Bikes, (Electric) Scooters
Sometimes you may not have proper time or energy to get to where you need to go. Be it your job, outing with friends, running errands or anything else, bikes and scooters provide a quick and easy way to get from point A to point B. They’re cheap and don’t take up much space and come in an electric variety that will take you to where you need to be without much effort.
Cars
Despite all the other forms or public and personal transportation, sometimes a car is the only thing that will do the job. Sometimes it’s raining, you have some kind of a load to transport, or you want to travel somewhere together with your friend. In these cases a car will be your best option. However, not many people own cars in our world. They tend to be quite pricey to buy and to care for, so you may find families of 10-20 people only own one or two cars.
In rich neighborhoods cars are more common. People here have enough money to afford a car, and sometimes they’ll get more than one, just to show that they can.
Tractors (and other farm machinery)
In Fairy Gardens, having a tractor might come in more handy than having a car. Because of this most farms have multiple tractors, but only a few cars, if any. If you travel around the countryside you’ll more likely come across a person riding a tractor (or a unicorn) than a car. Fairy Gardens are known to have more tractors than cars. Don’t be too surprised if you see people riding lawn mowers as a form of transport either.
Unicorns
Speaking of which, while not exactly a “vehicle”, a good amount of people here opt for traveling with a unicorn or a unicorn drawn carriage rather than a car. You may see those even more often than tractors. It’s a nice green alternative to mechanical vehicles.
Boats
If you live in a coastal town you’ll surely notice boats out in the sea. These are just about the fanciest things you can own and most boat owners put in extra effort to make their boats look as unique and over-the-top as possible. Most of the time the rich people own them, and keep them as a vacation home more than for transportation. They aren’t aren’t exactly something you’ll use to get to work, but sailing out to the Ocean or nearby towns is a favorite vacation idea of many boat owners.
Sharing Spots
If you don’t have your own bike, car or a boat, or if you just don’t have one available right now, don’t worry! Throughout the towns of Ä+*4~, T@Ö#Ä3 and areas of Fairy Gardens, you’ll find spots where bikes or cars are available to borrow for your trip. You can simply get your vehicle of choice in one location, and leave it at another convenient sharing spot.
