Creation of Freaks
Unlike most of the other species living in our world today, freaks weren’t created on purpose - they are merely a side product of creating mole people. As smart and competent as the ancient human scientists may have been to actually be able to create new species, it was still a pretty tricky task to pull off. Before today’s moles, fairies and bats, there were many other failed species that didn’t survive. One of these still surviving failed species is homunculus, and the other one are freaks.
Appearance
With many small or a bit less small mistakes and malfunctions in genetic engineering came a plethora of strange defects that still plague freaks to this day. These can be anything from people having upside down faces, disproportionate or missing limbs, body parts in unexpected places and more.
Besides these things, they are otherwise very similar to regular mole people. Actually, they pretty much just are mutated mole people.
Other Characteristics
Apart from their freaky physical appearance, they are considered to be a bit weird in the head too. That’s not unexpected though since they mainly only life in T@Ö#Ä3 today. Due to them clearly not being the perfect species there were many attempts in the past to get rid of them and weed them out, same as they did with all the other failed species. Clearly, this didn’t work completely. They did leave most of the places in the world, but they have found their home in T@Ö#Ä3 where everyone is a bit freaky and weird in the head, no matter what their physical appearance is. Then again people in T@Ö#Ä3 consider themselves perfectly normal and think people in Ä+*4~ are a bit weird in the head, so this is a very relative thing that can go either way.
Otherwise, their mental characteristics, diet, habits and culture are the same as the moles’ are. Though they tend to engage in the shadier activities even a lot of T@Ö#Ä3 residents aren’t comfortable with, they are mostly still nice normal people.
