East Fairy Gardens
Geography
East Fairy Gardens is basically the east part of Fairy Gardens. It''s hard to really pinpoint where is starts and where it ends, but it generally refers to the easter coastline of the continent, and if you go far east enough you'll see that the region is quite different from what you might see in the central or eastern parts of Fairy Gardens.
Climate
Climate here tends to be very chaotic. If you take a quick overview of our world, you'll see that the regions go form the dry desert in the west, to more and more wet areas towards the east, and as you may assume by now, east Fairy Gardens are the wettest area of your world. Thoug this area is the wettest and, let's say, coldest in this part of the world, it's still pretty damn hot most of the year.
In summer, this means unbearable humid heat that even the mole people who evolved to survive in humid underground caves can hardy deal with, but after a brief period of quite nice weather, the rainy season comes - this is the tough part of the year.
See while in Desert people may welcome this time of year that brings some much needed rain to this area, the already wet East Fariy Gardens are getting more than they can handle. The rainy season here is pretty much more than a solid moth of constant rain and hurricanes that year after year continue to devastade this part of the world. You can expect this whole region to be under water for at least 2-3 weeks out fo the year.
Plants & Animals
As you may expect, the plants and animals here are the species that are adapted to this kind of weather. Here you'll find especially the kinds of animals that live in the trees and can survive for a while just staying up there. Stay tuned for more details on this.
Towns
With the description of the extreme weather conditions here, you might think that no one in their right mind would live here; and you'd be correct. But don't forget, the moles are most definitely not in their right mind. Sure, the extreme wearther conditions and floods that happen all throughtou the year aren't exactly ideal, but the moles here make it work. To adapt to this enviornment, the towns here are quite unique.
The ground is covered with fields of water loving plants such as rice, and the towns consits of stilt houses built far enough above ground to not get flooded during the rainy season. Of course this still does happen all the time, but surely not nearly as much as it would if the houses were built on the ground. People here have grown so comfortable living like this that you'll even find several towns built entirely on the ocean, most notable of them being the Ocean Town. Many towns here are actually farming communities, similar to farms elsewhere in fairy gardens, but just built in their own special way.
People
I don't know what you expect, but people here are really nothing special, not entirely insane to live here or anything. They are just chill people who love to spend a lot of their time out in the ocean and love their families. They are open and friendly people whi are always ready and willing to help others outside of their own family, becaue often times they will have to do just that. They are hard workers who have accepted the constan repairing and rebuilding of their homes after every flood as the lifestyle, but they will also take every opportunity to chill out on the beach - in the months where there even is a beach, that is.
Also I'm not saying anything, but if mermaids were real they would probably live here. But they aren't real anyway, unless the people lving here are hiding something, hmmmm?
Resources
As already mentioned, this region mostly consists of field such as rice fields, which is this area's main export. With the constant flooding of the ocean you can also expect to find all sorts of seashells and other different unique debris brough here form the ocean, and people are turining this well into their advantage. They organize seashell hunting events right before the main farming season begins, to clear some of the seashels and other stuff from the fields and sell them for profit to the people in the central regions of the world who probably wouldn't have even seen a seashell in their life otherwise. Of course, the use up a lot of seashells here as well to make jewelry ot other decorated items to sell to tourists.
