Archaeologist

Most of the old world was destroyed in the apocalypse, and most of what you see in the world today was rebuilt, but there are still regions full of ancient artifacts to find. Haunted Forest and Wasteland are two areas of our world that remain mainly unpopulated and as such the most untouched by modern civilization. You could argue about whether these regions are unpopulated because of strange artifacts and even bones of ancient humans constantly popping out of the ground here, or whether it’s because the region is unpopulated that these artifacts have remained mostly undisturbed and easier to find, but it doesn’t really matter. This place is an archaeologist's paradise and basically the place to go if you wanna find some cool ancient stuff.

Becoming an archaeologist

Archaeology is one of the most specific fields of history studies. Your history studies may already start during secondary school, and if your parents are historians or archaeologists they might take you with them to explore these areas, but officially, you wouldn’t do any of your archaeology work until after secondary school.

If you’re interested in history, there’s a good chance that you will continue your studies in East tgohab academy that offers different study programs covering different subjects from ancient to modern history. If you opt for studying anything related to ancient history, spending some time in Wasteland as an archaeologist is basically unavoidable.

After completing your studies you can decide if you want to continue with archaeology, or take a different path in your career.

Working as an archaeologist

Since the ares with best preserved ancient artifacts are in remote parts of Wasteland, your job will often force you spend periods of time living in Wasteland. It's not a life you'd want to live for extended periods of time, but that's ok, because you probably won't have to.

Big part of your work won't be only searching ofr and excavatin the ancient artifacts, but also studying them, and this is usually done in research facilites located mainly in East tgohab.

Because study of ancient artifacts is mainly focused on Wasteland and Haunder Forest you also have to keep in mind that you'll probably have to mive here. There are other regions with ancient artifacts to be found, and studying history in general can be done anywhere in the world, but the majority of archaeology happens here.
