Tabik Item in Fiven Chronicles | World Anvil

Tabik

Tabiks or tabik wraps are rectangular pieces of cloth often tied around a bundle of nightmist leaves mixed with ground emel root with its peppery scent and hung from a Founder's Tree. In most places, tabik wraps also have prayers or wishes or request to the Saints painted on them.

Tabik wraps are of great cultural significance to Baleland inhabitants. They believe that as the cloth weathers and fades, the winds carry the wishes, hopes and prayers from the cloth to the Saints to be heard.
